Civic mindedness and concern for our neighbors is at the core of who we are and how we operate at Alpha. Engaging positively with our local communities has been a central value since the company’s inception. Alpha’s Community Involvement Program formalizes these beliefs and creates opportunities for engagement with local nonprofit organizations. Through the program, Alpha has provided financial and volunteer support to a number of organizations that enrich and improve the lives of others.
While our employees remain personally active in many worthwhile causes in our community, we have temporarily suspended Alpha’s formal philanthropy program due to challenging coal market conditions. We hope to reinstate the program under more favorable conditions in the future.
